To investigate the ability of RRR-alpha-tocopherol to regulate gene expression, we interrogated RNA samples from treated cultured cells with Affymetrix oligonucleutodie arrays. We find that vitamin E potently regulates the expression of ca. 230 genes, functioning in metabolism, cell-cycle progression, and transcriptional regulation.
